The rubber wiring harness grommets are widely used in automobiles, commercial buses & trucks, ATV and agriculture vehicles, etc, which ask for more larger and complex design to meet their electrical systems. The Key Points of Rubber Wire Boots Design:
1. On the contact area of wiring boot and metal panel, 5mm flat area (form the edge of rubber boot to the metal panel) need to be reserved, otherwise, the sealing effect between sleeve and metal panel will be affected, and have risk of water leakage.
2. The cross-sectional area of wiring boots and the assembly feasibility need to be be taken into account when designing the sectional area of the inner hole of door wire boots.
3. The total length of wiring boots is limited by its design. Normally, the length shall not beyond 10times of the diameter of its inner hole. For example, if the ID of inner hole is 20.7mm, the total length need to be designed within 207mm. Otherwise the rigidity of rubber mold will be affected and easy to occur deform, and finally lead to uneven thickness of the door wire harness boots.
